Hello! I am the school counselor here at James Madison Primary school and I work to support the needs of our students.  Our young population deals with typical, developmentally appropriate challenges, like how to be a friend, or what to do when someone teases them.  They can also be faced with difficult situations at home or at school, like divorce or loss of a loved one.  My job is to work with the school staff, parents and principal to help children with those challenges so that they can grow socially and academically. 

I provide services that give students the opportunity to gain skills and develop an understanding of their unique qualities.  The counseling services include, but are not limited to: individual sessions, small group counseling, classroom lessons, crisis intervention, and consultation with parents and teachers.  My office is always open to students, teachers, and parents who need to discuss an issue or problem.
